PTO SAFETY INTERLOCK Abstract of the Disclosure A PTO safety or interlock system includes a PTO switch, a seat-operated switch and a logic and relay circuit coupled between a battery and an electromagnetically-operated clutch which engages to connect the PTO to a drive shaft. The logic and relay circuit prevents engagement of the clutch unless the operator sits on the seat before turning on the PTO switch. The circuit disengages the clutch when the operator leaves the seat, but re-engages the clutch if the operator is only momentarily unseated.
