In one embodiment, a pulse detonation combustor (16) includes a gas discharge annulus (65) including multiple nozzles (40) engaged with one another via mating surfaces to support the gas discharge annulus (65) in a circumferential direction. The pulse detonation combustor (16) also includes multiple pulse detonation tubes (36) extending to the nozzles (40).
