A signal shaping circuit (100) shapes an input signal (DATA INPUT) of a digital data stream provided at an input terminal and generates an output signal (OUTPUT) at an output (122) having sinusoidally shaped transition regions between logic level transitions of the digital data stream. The signal shaping circuit (100) comprises the input terminal (102) for receiving digital pulses of the digital data stream, a delay circuit (106) for delaying the digital pulses at the input terminal (102) for a predetermined time delay, and a ringing filter circuit (124) coupled to the input terminal (102) and the delay circuit (106) for generating the output signal (OUTPUT) responsive to the digital data stream. The ringing filter circuit (124) has a ringing period about equal to or less than twice a period of the digital data stream and the predetermined time delay of the delay circuit (106) is about equal to half of a ringing period. The output waveform of the output signal (OUTPUT) has a lower bandwith than the corresponding input signal and no intersymbol interference associated with it.
La présente invention concerne un circuit de mise en forme de signal (100) qui met en forme à un terminal d'entrée un signal d'entrée (ENTREE DE DONNEES) d'un flux de données numériques et génère à une sortie (122) un signal de sortie (SORTIE) présentant des zones de transition de forme sinusoïdale entre les transitions de niveau logique du flux de données numériques. Le circuit de mise en forme de signal (100) comprend un terminal d'entrée (102) qui reçoit les impulsions numériques du flux de données numériques, un circuit à retard (106) qui retarde les impulsions numériques au terminal d'entrée (102) pendant un délai de temps prédéterminé et un circuit de filtrage à oscillations (124) couplé au terminal d'entrée (102) et au circuit à retard (106) qui génère le signal de sortie (SORTIE) en réponse au flux de données numériques. Le circuit de filtrage à oscillations (124) présente une période d'oscillation inférieure ou égale à environ deux fois la période du flux de données numériques, et le délai de temps prédéterminé du circuit à retard (106) est égal à environ la moitié d'une période d'oscillation. La forme d'onde à la sortie du signal de sortie (SORTIE) présente une largeur de bande inférieure au signal d'entrée correspondant et n'est entachée d'aucune interférence intersymbole.
