ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A gated pulse generator produces an output pulse for every period in which an input signal is continuously in a particular state for longer than a minimum gating interval. If the input signal changes state within the minimum gating interval, no output pulse is produced. The pulse generator circuit includes a first, second and third switch and a capacitor. The first switch produces an output pulse as an output signal from the pulse generator when a signal at its input terminal exceeds a threshold level. The capacitor is connected to the input terminal of the first switch. The second switch discharges the capacitor when its input signal is in a first input state and allows the capacitor to charge to the threshold level when the input signal is in a second input state. The third switch also discharges the capacitor in response to the output pulse from the first switch.
