A pultruded part (23) is formed from thermo-setting resin (19) which is carried on continuous longitudinal fiber reinforcement (13, 15) into a die (20) which shapes the resin and fibers into the required transverse cross sectional shape and then acts to set the resin. Some of the fibers (15) have applied thereto a second resin material (26) of a different characteristic so that these fibers carry the second resin into the part at localized regions to form localized regions (40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45) of the second resin extending longitudinally continuously of the part. This allows a resin of an increased strength to be used at areas of increased strength requirement, for example areas of screw fastening, screw ports, junction between two legs and in order to provide a thinner part for reduced thermal transfer.
Pièce pultrudée (23) formée d'une résine thermodurcissable (19) portée sur un renforcement (13, 15) de fibres longitudinales continues dans une matrice (20) qui donne la forme requise à la résine et aux fibres en coupe transversale, et qui permet à la résine de prendre. Certaines des fibres (15) sont recouvertes d'un second matériau de résine (26) de caractéristique différente, afin qu'elles puissent porter la seconde résine dans la pièce dans des régions localisées pour former des régions localisées (40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45) de la seconde résine s'étendant longitudinalement de façon continue depuis cette pièce. Cela permet d'utiliser une résine de résistance accrue dans des zones répondant à des normes de résistance accrue, par exemple des zones de fixation de vis, des orifices de vis ou une jonction entre deux pieds, et d'obtenir une pièce plus mince pour un transfert thermique réduit.
