Abstract of the Disclosure A pulverizing apparatus is particularly suited for pulverizing elastic, viscous and bulky materials as well as refuse and other waste mate- rials. The apparatus includes a driven container and at least one high-speed tool eccentrically disposed within the container and having a shaft substan- tially parallel to the axis of the container. The tool has at least one toothed disc in a plane transverse to the tool shaft. The disc dips into the material present at the container wall. The tool is displaceable generally radially within the container.
