PULVERIZER AIR FLOW AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL Abstract of the Disclosure: The flow of preheated and ambient air to a coal pulverizer, is controlled in a manner whereby the preheated air flow will be varied as a function of pulverizer discharge temperature air while "cold" ambient air flow will be varied as a function of pulverizer inlet air flow! rate error. Flow set point is varied as a function of temperature error to enhance system response to temperature errors. A minimumflow set point is then used so that flow will take precedence over temperature error should pulverizer inlet flow fall below a predetermined minimum. Preheated air flow is varied as a function of flow error only when the inlet flow rate falls below the predetermined minimum.
