Abstract A pump (10) has a pump housing (11) forming a cylindrical chamber (15), in which an eccentric (16) that can be rotary operated by means of a drive shaft. Said eccentric causes a hose (20) wound around a ring (25) to be squeezed shut on the housing inner wall (11') by means of a flexible ring (25), arranged around said eccentric. A medium is conveyed peristaltically by rotating the eccentric (16). In addition, the hose (20) is continuously enclosed and enables discharge pressures ranging from 6 this pump (10) even at higher discharge pressures ranging from 6 to 10 (bar).
