ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A gear-type pump for immersion in a container of drywall filler. A drive shaft is operatively connected to the pump and extends above the container. A motor is operatively connected to the shaft above the container. A conduit has an inlet connected to the pump and an outlet above the container. A spreader is connectedto the outlet of the conduit and has a slot therein for passing strips of material to be coated with the filler. Pinch rollers are mounted near the spreader for moving the strips through the slot.
