The invention concerns a flexible inner tube comprising a working tread (2) and sidewalls (2) defining a casing, and a sealing membrane (11) covering at least part of the casing, the sealing membrane (11) including at least one elastic material (14) and a puncture-resistant reinforcement (15), the sealing membrane (11) being free relative to the working tread (2) and fixed at one opposite the working tread (2).
