The invention relates to a method of removing endotoxin from preparation of alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (orosomucoid) by contact with a finely divided non-toxic resin such as fumed silica. The invention also relates to a purification process for alpha-1-acid glycoprotein which includes this depyrogenation step, and to the depyrogenated product and its clinical uses.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé d'élimination de l'endotoxine d'une préparation de glycoprotéine alpha-1-acide (orosomucoïde) par mise en contact de ladite préparation avec une résine non toxique finement divisée telle que la silice sublimée. Cette invention se rapporte également à un procédé de purification de la glycoprotéine alpha-1-acide, ce procédé comprenant l'étape de dépyrogénation, au produit dépyrogéné ainsi qu'à ses utilisations cliniques.
