The invention relates to the production of purified 1,1,1,3,3- pentafluorobutane (HFC-365mfc) comprising a reduced content of hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride or unsaturated impurities. To this end, the material to be purified is treated in the liquid phase with a solid, inorganic sorption agent or with diatomic molecules which add to C-C- multiple bonds. The product to be purified is preferably treated with elemental fluorine. The content of hydrogen fluoride and hydrogen chloride can be reduced to below 1 ppm. The content of unsaturated (chlorine)-fluorine-compounds can be reduced to below 20 ppm, and the content of unsaturated C2-compounds can be reduced to below 10 ppm. It has also been discovered that fluorotrichloroethylene can be used as a control substance when monitoring the purification of 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorobutane.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire du 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorbutane purifié (HFC-365mfc) présentant une teneur réduite en chlorure d'hydrogène et fluorure d'hydrogène ou en impuretés insaturées. A cet effet, on traite le matériau à purifier dans la phase liquide, avec un sorbant inorganique solide ou avec des molécules diatomiques qui s'ajoutent à des liaisons multiples C-C. On traite de préférence le produit à purifier avec du fluor élémentaire. La teneur en chlorure d'hydrogène et en fluorure d'hydrogène peut être réduite à une valeur inférieure à 1 ppm, la teneur en composés chlorés (fluorés) insaturés à une valeur inférieure à 20 ppm et la teneur en composés C2 insaturés à une valeur inférieure à 10 ppm. On a en outre découvert que le fluorotrichloroéthylène pouvait servir de substance de contrôle lors de la surveillance de la purification de 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorobutane.
