Process for the purification of an alcohol in the course of a process comprising : (1) providing a reaction zone (C) comprising an acid type catalyst; (2) providing a reaction zone (B) comprising an acid adsorbent material; (3) providing an alcohol stream comprising impurities; (4) introducing the alcohol stream of (3) into the reaction zone (B) and bringing said stream into contact with the acid adsorbent material at conditions effective to reduce the amount of impurities having an adverse effect on the acid type catalyst of the reaction zone (C); (5) recovering from step (4) an alcohol stream and introducing it into the reaction zone (C); (6) optionally introducing one or more reactants (R) into the reaction zone (C); (7) operating said reaction zone (C) at conditions effective to recover a valuable effluent.
Linvention concerne un procédé de purification dun alcool au cours dun procédé qui comprend : (1) lutilisation dune zone de réaction (C) qui comprend un catalyseur de type acide ; (2) lutilisation dune zone de réaction (B) qui comprend un matériau adsorbant acide ; (3) lutilisation dun courant dalcool qui comprend des impuretés ; (4) lintroduction du courant dalcool de (3) dans la zone de réaction (B) et la mise en contact dudit courant avec le matériau adsorbant acide dans des conditions efficaces pour réduire la quantité dimpuretés qui ont un effet indésirable sur le catalyseur de type acide de la zone de réaction (C) ; (5) la récupération à partir de létape (4) dun courant dalcool et lintroduction de celui-ci dans la zone de réaction (C) ; (6) éventuellement lintroduction dun ou de plusieurs réactifs (R) dans la zone de réaction (C) ; (7) lexploitation de ladite zone de réaction (C) dans des conditions efficaces pour obtenir un effluent de valeur.
