The present invention is a process for decreasing the concentration of organic carbon in an aqueous system by incorporating a peroxygen composition as an oxidant capable of oxygen transfer in a chemical reaction. The process is particularly useful for decolorizing lignin-containing aqueous solutions such as effluents from a pulp mill.
La présente invention porte sur un procédé pour réduire la concentration du carbone organique dans un système aqueux en y incorporant une composition peroxygénée comme oxydant, ce qui permet le transfert d'oxygène dans une réaction chimique.
