A purification process for a gold-containing iodine solution, or pregnant, gold-bearing iodine lixiviant, that results from the leaching of a gold-containing material with an iodine/iodide lixiviant solution. The process involves purification of the gold-bearing iodine lixiviant produced by a lixivial process, such as in situ, heap, vat, or agitated leaching, with a certain type of strongly acidic cation-exchange resin to facilitate subsequent recovery of gold and regeneration and recycling of the iodine lixiviant by electrolysis, thus making possible pollution-free, efficient recovery of gold.
Méthode de purification pour une solution iodée renfermant de l'or, ou pour un lixiviant iodé aurifère sursaturé, provenant de la lixiviation d'une matière aurifère à l'aide d'une solution renfermant de l'iode et de l'iodure. La méthode consiste à purifier le lixiviant aurifère iodé, produit par lixiviation sur place, en tas, en cuve ou par agitation, avec un certain type de résine échangeuse de cation fortement acide, de façon à faciliter la récupération ultérieure d'or ainsi que la régénération et le recyclage du lixiviant iodé par électrolyse, ce qui rend possible la récupération efficace de l'or, sans causer de pollution.
