PUSH BAR DOGGING APPARATUS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A door latching or unlatching push bar apparatus comprising: a mounting rail means to be carried by the door, the rail means having a locking rail; a push bar mounted for advancement and retraction relative to the rail means; support means carried by the push bar to extend toward the rail means, and a lock arm carried by the support means to be movable into and out of dogging position relative to the locking rail; and an actuator carried by the push bar and operatively connected with the lock arm to move the lock arm into and out of dogging position when the push bar has been advanced toward the rail means. - 1 -
