ABSTRACT A unitary push button of a molded flexible plastic material adapted for pressing onto a stud provided with ridges extending generally radially and circumferen- tially therefrom. The button is provided with an opening for accommodating the stud and expandable by the ridges when the button is mounted on the stud. The button comprises a shank having a hole formed axially therethrough. A flange is disposed at one end of the shank and blends into the shank. The flange partially closes off the hole at the one end of the shank and the hole is opened at the opposite end of the shank. A plurality of resilient fingers protrude radially from the wall of the hole at a predetermined angle toward the center of the hole and has an end face for engagement behind a ridge on the stud and an opening formed through the flange for each of the fingers. The openings extend axially from the outer surface of the flange into the hole and have an area to at least cover the cross-sectional area of the finger projected in a direction toward the opening.
