This invention relates to an exercise apparatus and in particular to an exercise apparatus designed for performing a variation of a push-up. There are a number of apparatuses presently described in patent literature. An example, which most closely resembles the invention herein, is described in United States Patent No. 4171805, issued to T. Abbott on October 23, 1979. The problem with said apparatus is that the exercises performed are limited by rolling handles confined by a complex track system. The object of the present invention is to overcome the above-mentioned problem by providing a relatively simple apparatus, capable of performing a larger variety of exercises. Accordingly, the present invention relates to an exercise apparatus comprising: (a) A basically square base, two supports extending upwardly from base, approximately perpendicular to base and parallel to each other, a handle horizontally connected to supports, and said base unit fixedly mounted upon four swivel type casters.
