A puzzle machine for producing a custom puzzle for a user from a image montage combining an image of a subject-person with at least one stored image is disclosed. From an image of a subject-person, taken on location, the puzzle machine creates a puzzle that comes out of the machine within a few minutes, based on an image montage of the subject-person with a chosen stored image, in packaging similar to mass-produced puzzle products.
