Previously, the use of triethylenglycol-di-2-ethylhexanoate otherwise known as 3G8 or 3GEH as a plastifying agent having a low polarity for polyvinylbutyral films (PVB films) was restricted to PVB types having a polyvinylalcohol content (PVOH) of less than19.5 wt. %. According to the invention, one or several surfactants is/are used as an additive in order to increase the solubility or compatibility of the low-polarity plastifying agent in PVB resin, thereby enabling the use of low-polarity plastifying agents such as 3G8, particularly in standard-PVD-based mixtures. A multiple ethoxylated aliphatic or aromatic alcohol is used as a non-ionic surfactant, containing at least 6 carbon atoms in the alcohol proportion thereof, having an average ethoxylation degree which is greater than or equal to 2. The invention is used for PVB preparations containing a plastifying agent, especially a standard-PVD- based plastifying agent, in the production of films for composite security glass.
L'utilisation de triéthylènglycol-di-2-éthylhexanoate, désigné par les sigles 3G8 ou 3GEH, en tant que plastifiant de faible polarité pour des feuilles de polyvinylbutyral (feuilles de PVB) se limite jusqu'à présent à des types de PVB présentant une teneur en alcool polyvinylique (PVOH) inférieure à 19,5 % en poids. Selon la présente invention, un ou plusieurs agents tensioactifs non ioniques sont utilisés en tant qu'additif augmentant la solubilité et la compatibilité du plastifiant de faible polarité dans la résine PVB. Ainsi, des plastifiants de faible polarité, tels que 3G8, peuvent également être utilisés notamment dans des mélanges à base de PVB standard. L'agent tensioactif non ionique utilisé est un alcool aliphatique ou aromatique plusieurs fois éthoxylés, contenant au moins 6 atomes de carbone dans la proportion d'alcool et présentant un degré d'éthoxylation moyen supérieur ou égal à 2. Cette invention convient à des préparations de PVB renfermant un plastifiant, notamment à base de PVB standard, destinées à la production de feuilles pour verre de sécurité feuilleté.
