RAN 4051/19 Abstract The compounds of formula I and II Image and Image I II wherein R1 is hydrogen or methyl; A is R2-C(F)2-C(CH3)2- or R3O-C(CH3)C(R4)- wherein R2 is lower alkyl: R3 is phenyl, or phenyl substituted by 1 to 3 substituents selected from the group consisting of halo, lower alkyl, and lower alkoxy and R4 i5 hydrogen or methyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, C1-4-alkyl esters, acetylamino-C1-4-alkyl esters, phenyl-C1-4-alkyl esters, dimethylamino-C1-4-alkyl esters and a-monoglycerides of the compounds of formula II are useful in the treatment of hyperproliferative diseases and for lowering cholesterol blood levels.
