Compounds of formula: <see fig. 1> and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein R1 is H; C1-C3 alkyl optionally substituted with one or more fluoro substituents; or C3-C5 cycloalkyl; R2 is H, or C1-C6 alkyl optionally substituted with one or more fluoro substituents or with C3-C6 cycloalkyl; R3 is C1-C6 alkyl optionally substituted with one or more fluoro substituents or with C3-C6 cycloalkyl; C3-C5 cycloalkyl; C3-C6 alkenyl; or C3-C6 alkynyl; R4 is C1-C4 alkyl optionally substituted with OH, NR5R6, CN, CONR5R6 or CO2R7; C2-C4 alkenyl optionally substituted with CN, CONR5R6 or CO2R7; C2-C4 alkanoyl optionally substituted with NR5R6; hydroxy C2-C4 alkyl optionally substituted with NR5R6; (C2-C3 alkoxy)C1-C2 alkyl optionally substituted with OH or NR5R6; CONR5R6; CO2R7; halo; NR5R6; NHSO2NR5R6; NHSO2R8; or phenyl or heterocyclyl either of which is optionally substituted with methyl; R5 and R6 are each independently H or C1-C4 alkyl, or together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a pyrrolidinyl, piperidino, morpholino, 4-(NR9)-piperazinyl or imidazolyl group wherein said group is optionally substituted with methyl or hydroxy; R7 is H or C1-4 alkyl; R8 is C1-C3 alkyl optionally substituted with NR5R6; and R9 is H; C1-C3 alkyl optionally substituted with phenyl; hydroxy C2-C3 alkyl; or C1-C4 alkanoyl; are selective cGMP PDE inhibitors useful in the treatment of cardiovascular disorders such as angina, hypertension, heart failure and atherosclerosis.

Composés de formule <voir fig. 1>, et leurs sels pharmacocompatibles, où R1 est H, un alkyle C1-C3 (avec substitution facultative par un ou plusieurs atomes de fluor) ou un cycloalkyle C3-C5; R2 est H ou un alkyle C1-C6 avec substitution facultative par un ou plusieurs atomes de fluor ou par un cycloalkyle C3-C6; R3 est un alkyle C1-C6 (avec substitution facultative par un ou plusieurs atomes de fluor ou par un cycloalkyle C3-C6), un cycloalkyle C3-C5, un alcényle C3-C6 ou un alcynyle C3-C6; R4 est un alkyle C1-C4 (avec substitution facultative par OH, NR5R6, CN, CONR5R6 ou CO2R7), un alcényle C2-C4 (avec substitution facultative par CN, CONR5R6 ou CO2R7), un alcanoyle C2-C4 (avec substitution facultative par NR5R6), un hydroxy, un alkyle C2-C4 (avec substitution facultative par NR5R6), un (alcoxy C2-C3)alkyle C1-C2 (avec substitution facultative par OH ou NR5R6), un groupe CONR5R6, CO2R7, halo, NR5R6, NHSO2NR5R6, NHSO2R8 ou encore phényle ou hétérocyclyle (n'importe lequel des deux avec substitution facultative par un méthyle); R5 et R6 sont chacun indépendamment H ou un alkyle C1-C4, ou forment ensemble, avec l'atome d'azote auquel ils sont liés, un groupe pyrrolidinyle, pipéridino, morpholino, 4-(NR9)-pipérazinyle ou imidazolyle, ledit groupe étant avec substitution facultative par un méthyle ou un hydroxy; R7 est H ou un alkyle C1-4; R8 est un alkyle C1-C3 avec substitution facultative par NR5R6; R9 est H, un alkyle C1-C3 (avec substitution facultative par un phényle), un hydroxyalkyle C2-C3 ou un alcanoyle C1-C4. Ces composés sont des inhibiteurs sélectifs de cGMP-PDE, utiles pour le traitement des troubles cardiovasculaires, comme l'angine, l'hypertension, les défaillances cardiaques et l'athérosclérose.
