- 1 - Abstract of the disclosure: Compounds of the general formula (I) Image ( I ) wherein X is oxygen or NR6, Y is CH or nitrogen, R1 and R2 are hydrogen, halogen, (substituted) alkyl, (sub- stituted) alkenyl, (substituted) alkynyl, OH, (sub- stituted) alkoxy, alkenyloxy or alkynyloxy, radicals of alkanecarboxylic acids, alkanesulfonic acids, alkanesul- fenic acids and alkanesulfinic acids and of their amides, (substituted) phenyl, benzyl, (substituted) hydroxycarbonyl or (substituted) aminocarbonyl, R3 is hydrogen or alkyl and R4 and R5 are hydrogen, (substitu- ted) alkyl or (substituted) alkoxy, halogen, alkylthio, monoalkylamino or dialkylamino, and their salts, exert an advantageous herbicidal action against monocotyledo- nous or dicotyledonous harmful plants and are therefore suitable for use in large-scale crops. Moreover, they have a plant growth-regulating action.
