ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a process for the production of a pyridazinium compound of the general formula (1) : Image (1) in which: R1 denotes hydrogen; R2 is alkoxy of 1 to 8 carbon atoms or the radical -NH2; R3 denotes hydrogen or halogen; R4 denotes hydrogen, and alkoxy radical with an alkyl of 5 to 10 carbon atoms, chloro or bromo, OR10 where R10 is alkyl of 5 to 10 carbon atoms, unsubstituted phenyl or phenyl substituted by chloro or methyl, Image where one R11 is the same as or different from the other R11 and each is hydrogen, phenyl, alkyl of one to six carbon atoms, alkyl of one to six carbon atoms substituted by phenyl, or one R11 together with the other R11 is tetramethylene, pentamethylene or 3-oxatetramethylene; R5 denotes a lower alkyl radical, phenyl or phenyl substituted by chloro or Iower alkyl; and Ye denotes an anion of a pharmaceutically acceptable strong inorganic or organic acid.
