ABSTRACT A 3(2H)-pyridazinone derivative of the general formula (I): Image (I) wherein R is a straight or branched C2 - C6 alkyl, A is a straight or branched C1 - C6 alkyl or a halogen atom, X is -O- or -S-, R1 and R2 are each independently hydrogen atom or C1 - C3 alkyl, B is -CH=CH-, -N=CH-, -N=N-, -S-, -O- or Image wherein R3 is hydrogen or C1 - C3 alkyl, Y is a halogen atom, a straight or branched C1 - C6 alkyl, a C3 - C6 cycloalkyl or cycloalkoxy, a straight or branched C1 - C6 alkoxy or alkylthio, a straight or branched C1 - C6 alkylsulfinyl or alkylsulfonyl, a C1 - C4 haloalkyl or haloalkoxy, a C1 - C4 haloalkylthio, a C2 - C4 alkenyloxy trimethylsilyl, a C1 - C4 alkoxylcarbonyl, dimethylamino, nitro, cyano, Image Image wherein Z is a halogen atom, a straight or branched C1 - C6 alkyl or alkoxy, a C3 - C6 cycloalkyl, a C1 - C4 haloalkyl, a C1 - C4 alkoxycarbonyl or nitro, ? is 0 or an integer of 1 to 5, and when R is a number of 2 to 5, Z may be same or different, or Y is -O-W, w is a group of the formula: Image in which R4, R5 and R6 are each independently hydrogen atom or a C1 - C4 alkyl, R7 is C1 - C3 hydrogen atom or an alkyl or alkoxyl, R3 is a straight or branched C1 - C6 alkyl, a C3 - C6 cycloalkyl or a C3 - C6 alkenyl or alkynyl, E is -O-, -S-, -SO-, -SO2-, Image or Image , wherein R9 is a straight or branched C1 - C alkyl, or R8 and R9 together may form 5- or 6-membered ring. m is 0 or an integer of 1 to 3, n is 0 or an integer of 1 is 3, and when n is 2 or 3, Y may be same or different, with the proviso that when B is -CH=CH-, n is an integer of 1 to - 2 - 3 and at least one of Y is -O-W. A process for preparation of said derivatives is also provided. These derivatives are useful as an active ingredient of insecticidal, acaricidal, nematicidal and/or fungicidal compositions for agricultural and horticultural uses as well as of expellent compositions for ticks parasitic on animals. - 3 -
