There are provided new pyrimidine derivatives condensed with a non-aromatic ring selected from dihydrothiophene, dihydrofuran, cycloalkane moiety, and the like or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof; and a pharmaceutical composition comprising said compound as an active ingredient. These compounds exhibit excellent promoting activity on insulin secretion and activity against hyperglycemia. Hence, the pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds as active ingredients, based on these actions, are useful for treating and/or preventing insulin-dependent diabetes (type 1 diabetes), non-insulin-dependent diabetes (type 2 diabetes), insulin- resistant diseases, obesity, and the like.
La présente invention a pour objet un nouveau dérivé de pyrimidine ou un sel de qualité pharmaceutique de ce dernier. Ledit dérivé est un composé polycyclique où le cycle pyrimidine est joint à un cycle non aromatique sélectionné au sein de la liste suivante : dihydrothiophène, dihydrofuranne, un cycloalkyle, etc. La présente invention a également pour objet une préparation pharmaceutique comprenant l'un des composés ci-avant au titre de principe actif. Lesdits composés présentent un excellent effet accélérant de la sécrétion d'insuline, ainsi qu'un effet hyperglycémique. Des préparations pharmaceutiques comprenant lesdits composés au titre de principes actifs du fait de leurs propriétés peuvent ainsi être employées dans le traitement prophylactique et/ou thérapeutique de diabètes sucrés insulinodépendants (diabètes de type 1), de diabètes sucrés non insulinodépendants (diabètes de type 2), des maladies insulino-résistantes, de l'obésité, etc.
