ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A smoker's or like pyrophoric lighter, having a spark wheel actuated by a manually operable press button arcuately movable around the spark wheel axis, has the press button made as one bar of a pivotal linkage, preferably a parallelogram linkage, which is a unitary plastics moulding with integral flexible webs forming inter-bar pivots. The press button carries a spark wheel ratchet drive pawl formed by a blade spring which engages the ratchet teeth endwise on depression and flips past them on the return stroke.
