ABSTRACT PYRROLIDINE DERIVATIVES AND PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF SUCH COMPOUNDS" 3-Azabicyclo [ 3.1.0] hexane-2,4-dione and substituted analogues thereof can be prepared by reacting a compound of the general formula II or a halide, ester or anhydride thereof:- (II) Image wherein each of R1, R2, R3 and R4, any two or more of which maybe the same or different, represents a hydrogen atom, or an unsub- stituted alkyl or alkenyl group having up to 4 carbon atoms, or R2 and R3 together form an alkylene group containing 4 or 5 methylene groups. These compounds find use in the preparation of 3-azabicyclo[3.1.0] hexane compounds which have biological activity.
