A quaternary ammonium salt detergent made from the reaction product of the reaction of: (a) a hydrocarbyl substituted acylating agent and a compound having an oxygen or nitrogen atom capable of condensing with said acylating agent and further having a tertiary amino group; and (b) a quaternizing agent suitable for converting the tertiary amino group to a quaternary nitrogen and the use of such quaternary ammonium salt detergents in a fuel composition to reduce intake valve deposits.
Cette invention concerne un détergent à base de sel d'ammonium quaternaire réalisé à partir d'une réaction: (a) d'un agent d'acylation constitué d'hydrocarbyl substitué et d'un composé comprenant un atome d'oxygène ou d'azote capable de se condenser avec ledit agent d'acylation et comprenant également un groupe amino tertiaire; et (b) un agent de quaternarisation capable de convertir le groupe amino tertiaire en azote quaternaire. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de tels détergents à base de sel d'ammonium quaternaire dans une composition de combustibles pour réduire les dépôts sur les soupapes d'admission.
