ABSTRACT A method of cationic electrodeposition employing an aqueous dispersion of a quaternary ammonium salt group-containing resin is disclosed. The resin comprises the reaction product of a polymeric tertiary amine and a 1,2-epoxy-containing material. Also disclosed is an article coated with a resinous composition comprising the above resin and an article coated with a novel resinous composition comprising the above resin and a curing agent.
