QUICK ACTING CHECK VALVES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A valve body having an entrance at one end and an outlet at the opposite end with a first passage extending longitudinally of the body having a first seat facing inwardly of the passage. A ball in the passage is movable onto and off of the first seat. A second valve seat in the passage is spaced inwardly from the first seat and facing away therefrom, said second seat communicating with a second passage in the body of larger cross section than the first passage and extending to the outlet opening of the body. A ball rests on the second seat and is retained in line therewith by guide means in the second passage which permits this ball to be moved off the second seat a limited distance to allow fluid to flow through the second passage to the outlet opening. This guide means has an opening therein in communication with the outlet opening to permit back pressure in the fluid to move the second ball onto the second seat to close the latter.
