A support for the guide rail of a conveyor which enables the guide rail to be adjusted among a plurality of pre-set positions in a quick and simple manner with precision. The guide rail is supported by a generally horizontal support arm which is supported by a vertical post on the frame of the conveyor alongside the conveyor belt. In one embodiment, the arm has a series of notches or receptacles along the underside of its length and the post has a stop member having a latch adapted to engage in the receptacles. The stop member is a cap telescopically engaged on the post and biased upwardly by a spring. The cap includes latch portions facing upwardly adapted to engage in the notches on the arm. The notches provide a plurality of settings for the longitudinal position of the arm and thereby the guide rail. In the second embodiment, the arm has a latch pin and is mounted for slidable axial movement in the post and is axially biased to urge the latch pin toward the post. The stop member comprises a hollow cylindrical member slidably and rotatably mounted on the arm between the latches and the post. The end of the stop member confronting the latch pin has a plurality of receptacles to receive the latch pin, the axial depth of the receptacles are different to provide different positions for the arm and thereby the guide rail.

Le rail-guide est supporté par un bras de support essentiellement horizontal, lui-même supporté par un poteau vertical placé sur le cadre du convoyeur le long de la courroie transporteuse. Dans une application, le bras comporte une série de crans ou de logements sur sa face inférieure, et le poteau est muni d'un dispositif d'arrêt à verrouillage conçu pour s'engager dans les logements. Le dispositif d'arrêt consiste en un capuchon télescopique fixé sur le poteau et orienté vers le haut par un ressort. Le capuchon comprend des éléments de verrouillage orientés vers le haut et conçus de manière à s'engager dans les crans se trouvant sur le bras. Les crans permettent de placer le bras et le rail-guide dans plusieurs positions longitudinales. Dans une autre application, le bras comporte une goupille de verrouillage et est monté de manière à permettre un mouvement coulissant axial par rapport au poteau et est orienté axialement pour forcer la goupille de verrouillage vers le poteau. Le dispositif d'arrêt comporte un élément cylindrique creux monté de manière à glisser et à tourner sur le bras entre les éléments de verrouillage et le poteau. L'extrémité du dispositif d'arrêt faisant face à la tige de verrouillage comporte plusieurs logements pour recevoir la tige de verrouillage, et les logements sont de profondeurs axiales différentes pour permettre de placer le bras et le rail-guide dans diverses positions.
