ABSTRACT A hand held orbital polisher includes a manually actuatable coupling arrangement operating between a motor driven support platen and a polisher pad assembly having a backing platen connected to the support platen for rotation therewith. Respective pairs of manually actuatable shoulders are driven by a tool to simultaneously drive an array of coupling lugs on one of the platen into and locked engagement with the other platen.
