A quick connect coupling (20) generally comprising a housing (22) having an axial bore extending inwardly from an entrance and increasing in diameter moving into the housing (22). A tube (24) has a tube bead (26) of increased diameter spaced from an inner end (30) of the tube (24) and is insertable into the bore. A generally annular radially expandable collet (64) disposed within the bore expands upon insertion of the tube (24) and contracts onto the tube (24) outwardly of the tube bead (26). The collet (64) functions as a wedge between the tube bead (26) and the increasing diameter portion of the housing (22), thereby retaining the tube (24) within the housing (22). In one embodiment, a spring (74 or 142) disposed within the housing (22) biases the collet (64) toward the entrance of the housing, ensuring proper position of the collet (64) in extreme conditions. The inventive collet (64) allows smaller tube bead (26) diameters to be used.
La présente invention concerne un raccord instantané (20) qui comprend essentiellement un logement (22) présentant un alésage axial qui s'étend vers l'intérieur à partir d'un orifice et dont le diamètre augmente dans le logement (22). Un tube (24) présente une collerette (26) de plus fort diamètre, située à une certaine distance de l'extrémité intérieure (30) du tube (24), et il peut être introduit dans l'alésage. Une bague (64) expansible dans la direction radiale, dont la forme générale est annulaire, placée à l'intérieur de l'alésage, s'élargit quand on introduit le tube (24) et se contracte sur lui à l'extérieur de la collerette (26) du tube. La bague (64) selon l'invention permet d'employer des collerettes (26) de plus faible diamètre.
