ABSTRACT A quick coupling component (2) comprises a valve member (1) for a main flow (4). Arranged in the valve member is a pressure reduction member with pressure reduction channel (7). The pressure reduction member comprises a shut-off element (8) which is arranged in the channel and which can bear against a seat (9) and is lifted by an activation member (13) counter to the action of a spring (10). The surface of the seat has a degree of fineness which corresponds to a great extent with the degree of fineness of the shut-off element. The latter has a hardness which substantially exceeds the hardness of the seat material. An inherent elasticity of the seat material contributes to the sealing function of the element against the seat in the closed position of the element. It is proposed that Figure 1 should accompany the abstract.
