Devices and processes for use in computer aided or computer navigated surgery include one or more registering and securing mechanisms or, alternatively, one or more adjustable locking structures interposed between an indicium and an item to be used during surgery such as a body part, tool, implant, trial or other structure or component. After the indicia have been registered into the system and surgery, begun, it is sometimes desirable to remove and reattach the indicia for better access to the surgical sight, to avoid contamination of the indicia, or to accommodate other surgical needs. Registering and securing mechanisms according to various embodiments are designed to be easily removable and accurately reattached so that the indicia can be repositioned relative to the item without the need to register the Indicia into the system relative to the item. The registering and securing mechanism preferably include structure that allows the indicia to be repositioned relative the item in only one position and orientation, the position and orientation in which it was registered into the system originally.
L'invention concerne des dispositifs et des procédés pour chirurgie ou navigation chirurgicale assistée par ordinateur, comprenant un ou plusieurs mécanismes d'enregistrement et de fixation ou alternativement une ou plusieurs structure(s) de verrouillage réglable(s) interposée(s) entre un indice et un article à utiliser pendant une chirurgie, tel qu'une partie de corps, un outil, un implant ou un autre composant ou structure. Une fois que l'indice a été enregistré dans le système et que la chirurgie a commencé, il est quelquefois souhaitable de retirer ou de refixer l'indice pour mieux accéder au site chirurgical, éviter la contamination dudit indice et répondre à d'autres besoins chirurgicaux. Selon des modes de réalisation variés, les mécanismes d'enregistrement et de fixation sont conçus pour être facilement retirés et refixés de manière précise de sorte que l'indice peut être repositionné par rapport à l'article sans avoir à enregistrer ledit indice dans le système relatif à cet article. Les mécanismes d'enregistrement et de fixation comprennent, de préférence, une structure permettant de repositionner l'indice par rapport à l'article dans une seule position et dans un seul sens, cette position et ce sens étant ceux dans lesquels ils ont été enregistrés dans le système à l'origine.
