A quick release and fastening panel assembly includes a panel that covers a structural opening and is securely fastened to the structure surrounding the opening by a release and locking assembly. The release and locking assembly includes an actuator screw that when rotated by a tool, causes a driver element to move four actuating arms, that are pivotally connected to the driver element and to respective locking mechanisms located at each edge of the panel. This movement of the actuating arms causes a pair of locking tongs in each of the locking mechanisms to engage opposing channel receptacles that are located along the edges of the panel and along the edges of the structural opening. When the locking tongs are locked in position, any loads from the structure are transmitted through the locking tongs to the panel.
Un ensemble cache à dégagement et fixation rapide comporte un panneau qui recouvre une ouverture structurelle, et est fixé solidement à la structure entourant l'ouverture au moyen d'un ensemble de libération et de blocage. Ledit ensemble de blocage et de libération est constitué d'une vis d'actionnement qui, lorsqu'elle est tournée au moyen d'un outil, entraîne, par l'intermédiaire d'un élément d'entraînement, le déplacement de quatre bras d'actionnement reliés pivotants à l'élément d'entraînement et aux mécanismes de blocage respectifs situés à chaque bord du panneau. Sous l'effet du mouvement desdits bras d'actionnement, une paire de languettes de blocage prévues dans chaque mécanisme de blocage s'engage dans des réceptacles à canal opposés, situés le long des bords du panneau, et le long des bords de l'ouverture structurale. Lorsque les languettes de blocage sont bloquées en position, toutes les charges provenant de la structure sont transmises au panneau par les languettes de blocage.
