Abstract The invention consists of a reusable diaper of washable absorbent cloth fastened by means of a removable band or belt. The garment utilizes layered panels to allow for a shorter drying time. The side edges and rear of the outer panel are elasticized to provide a close comfortable fit. The removable band is covered along its entire inner surface with hook "Velcro"(R) attachments to allow for greater adjustment and to eliminate snagging and lint catching while laundrying. The band or belt is secured to the diaper by means of loop "Velcro"(R) attachements on the face of the front panel and the rear edges of the rear panel which wraps around the waist of the wearer.
