The invention is used to employ a known method in quilt making. The said method requires a grid of prescribed measurements to be drawn on the fabric being used for the quilt that is being constructed. The invention is a flat rectangular template made of rigid material, such as acrylic. It has holes of approximately 1/16" in diameter drilled through in prescribed locations. The location for each hole is where the horizontal and vertical lines of the grid to be drawn will intersect. The template is placed flat on the said fabric and the user places the tip of a writing implement, such as a pencil, through each said hole, therefore marking the fabric with a series of dots. The resulting markings are then used as guidelines for the user to draw the vertical and horizontal lines required to form the prescribed grid of specific measurements.
