NOVEL QUINALDINAMIDE DERIVATIVES AND THEIR PREPARATIONS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A novel quinaldinamide derivative having the formula: Image wherein each of R1 and R2 independently represents a lower alkyl group or R1 and R2 are combined together with the adjacent nitrogen atom to form a 5 - 7 membered ring; and X represents the hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxy group, and its acid-addition salt, which is prepared by a condensation reaction between quinaldinine or a quinaldinine derivative and a pertinent amine compound. This quinaldinamide derivative shows prominent central muscle relaxant effect, namely, rigidi- ty relieving effect on anemic decerebrated rigidity.
