A method of treatment of bacterial infections in mammals, particularly in man, which method comprises the administration to a mammal in need of such treatment of an effective amount of a quinoline of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof wherein: n is 0, 1 or 2; A is NR11, O, S(O)x or CR6R7 and B is NR11, O, S(O)x or CR8R9 where x is 0, 1 or 2 novel quinolines for use in the method.

Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé de traitement d'infections bactériennes chez les mammifères, en particulier chez l'homme, ce procédé consistant à administrer à un mammifère nécessitant un tel traitement une quantité efficace d'une quinoline représentée par la formule (I) ou d'un dérivé de celle-ci acceptable sur le plan pharmaceutique, ainsi qu'à de nouvelles quinolines à utiliser dans ce procédé. Dans cette formule (I), n est égal à 0, à 1 ou à 2; A représente NR?11¿, O, S(O)¿x? ou CR?6¿R?7¿ et B représente NR?11¿, O, S(O)¿x? ou CR?8¿R?9¿, où x est égal à 0, à 1 ou à 2.
