Abstract of the Disclosure New quinone compounds of the formula: Image (Ia) wherein each R1 is methyl or methoxy, or both R1 jointly represent -CH=CH=CH=CH-; X is -CH=CH- or -C?C-; Y1 is hydrogen, hydroxyl, carboxyl, cyano, acyloxy or -COZ in which 7 is amino which may be substituted; m is an integer of 0 to 3; n is an integer of 0 to 10; n' is an integer of 1 to 5; k is an integer of 1 to 3; and when k is 2 or 3, n' is optionally variable within the range of 1 to 5, and their hydroquinone forms and salts arc disclosed. The novel compounds exhibit useful physiological activities such as antiasthmatic, antiallergic and blood-pressure decreasing activities.
