A board game is disclosed in the form of a typical ovate race track having a starting line, a finishing line and eleven lanes numbered two to twelve for racers, such as playing pieces resembling horses or dogs or the like. A betting strip is apportioned into numbered regions corresponding to the racers. Dice are used to randomly generate numbers. First, some racers are scratched according to the numbers rolled, and then the remaining racers advance a predetermined number of positions depending upon the number rolled, thus giving each racer a generally equal probability of winning. Bins are provided for collecting betting chips or tokens making purses that are won by rolling certain numbers on the dice.
