ABSTRACT A rack for storing flat workpieces, for example, automobile parts produced by pressing, from individual stacking columns, has a distance between a column holder and stacking column which is changeable, this overcomes problems associated with prior art racks in which individual stacking columns are to have a uniform vertical orientation and a uniform distance from one another so that parts can be received and supported in an orderly fashion.
