ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A rack frame for supporting-or withdrawing- rollers in continuous casting plant, comprising at least two rollers which are consecutive in the direction of travel of the continuous casting and connected to a common tiltable yoke on at least one side of the casting, the yoke being movable by piston-and-cylinder units in ways normal to the guided surface of the casting. The yoke which is formed with abutment surfa- ces can be pulled by the piston-and-cylinder units against bea- ring faces associated with each roller on a fixed frame, there- by to limit the setting of the rollers to the casting. In the present invention the accuracy of the frame remains unchanged for longer periods of duty, the life of the rollers is substan- tially lengthened and the quality of the casting with respect to surface and internal flaws and to the precision of the thick- ness of the casting is improved.
