A dishwasher (10) includes lower (40) and upper racks (60) that slide in and out for loading and unloading of dishes. Either or both of the racks includes a handle (50) secured to the front wall of the rack. The handle is molded from a thermoset polymer material and at least part of the handle is plated with a bright- finish metal coating such as powdered stainless steel. The handle for the lower rack extends above the upper edge of the front wall (44) of the rack for easier accessibility. The upper handle is arranged to be contacted by the door (13) of the dishwasher when the door is closed such that the upper rack is urged inwardly to a correct position for connecting a mid-level spray arm delivery tube (22) to a check valve assembly (30) of the water delivery system.
La présente invention concerne un lave-vaisselle comportant des paniers inférieur et supérieur qui coulissent vers l'intérieur et vers l'extérieur pour le chargement et le déchargement de vaisselle. L'un ou l'autre ou les deux paniers comporte un manche assujetti à la paroi avant du panier. Le manche est moulé à partir d'un matériau polymère thermodurcissable et au moins une partie du manche est plaquée avec un revêtement de métal à finition brillante tel que de la poudre d'acier inoxydable. Le manche pour le panier inférieur s'étend au-dessus du bord supérieur de la paroi avant du panier pour être plus facilement accessible. Le manche supérieur est agencé pour être en contact avec la porte du lave-vaisselle lorsque la porte est fermée de sorte que le panier supérieur est sollicité vers l'intérieur vers une position appropriée pour le raccordement d'un tube de distribution de bras de pulvérisation de niveau intermédiaire à un ensemble de clapet de non-retour du système de distribution d'eau.
