Front elements (52, 8) for module slots are provided with protruding centring and contacting elements (13, 49) that can be plugged in and pulled out and are associated with holding elements (16, 21) made of an electroconducting material and low-resistance connected to a cross connecting rail. When a module is plugged in, holding, centring and contacting elements are centred and brought into mutual contact, establishing in the plugged state a solid, highly vibration-resistant mechanical connection and a low-resistance contact with high current conductivity.
