A modular rack unit for use in a vehicle such as a coach consisting of an outer shell (2) and an inner shell (9). The inner shell (9) acts as a shelf for luggage and defines with the outer shell (2) an air conduit (5). The rack unit is secured to the vehicle by means of pillars (14) and two longitudinally extending brackets (18, 19). Each bracket defines with the engaging edges of the outer and inner shells respectively labyrinthine passages for the escape of any air from the air conduit (5).
L'invention porte sur une unité casier à bagages modulaire destinée à être utilisée dans un véhicule tel qu'une voiture de train, cette unité étant constituée d'une structure externe (2) et d'une structure interne (9). La structure interne (9) sert d'étagère pour les bagages et définit avec la structure externe (2) un conduit (5) pour l'air. L'unité casier est fixée au véhicule à l'aide de montants (14) et de deux pattes (18, 19) chaque patte définissant avec les bords associés des structures internes et externes, des passages internes respectifs permettant à l'air provenant du conduit (5) pour l'air de s'échapper.
