A system for a deep flyer having a flypot containing a cooking medium including a holder that carries a food product to be cooked in the cooking medium and a motor operatively connected to the holder that lowers holder into the cooking medium. The system further includes a sensor that detects contact of the holder when the holder is immersed in the cooking medium; and a controller including a timer that commences cooking the food product when the sensor contacts said holder.

L'invention concerne une friteuse ayant un bac à friture contenant un milieu de cuisson comportant un support qui porte un produit alimentaire à cuire dans le milieu de cuisson et un moteur relié fonctionnellement au support et destiné à descendre le support dans le milieu de cuisson. Le système comporte en outre un capteur qui détecteur le contact du support lorsque celui-ci est immergé dans le milieu de cuisson; et une unité de commande comportant une minuterie qui entame la cuisson du produit alimentaire lorsque le capteur entre en contact avec ledit support.
