A method and apparatus for jamming radar apparatus are disclosed. A radio beam of jamming intensity corresponding to the frequency of the radar apparatus is produced. The beam is directed towards the surface of the earth in sufficient power to produce scattered radiation from the surface of the earth to create a decoy signal at the radar apparatus. Means are provided in the apparatus for attenuating the side lobes of the source of the beam.
